Hey Readers,
Welcome back to my blog,
Today I will be showing you my persuasive writing. In writing we have been learning about persuasive writing. A persuasive writing is where you believe in something you like and want to convince everybody to believe it too. Our task was to write a statement about it. We also had to write why and an evidence why we think that and why we believe it. We had to go to links to find evidence to back up our answer.
It was a bit tricky and hard to find links. When we were done we could post it in our blog. I hope you enjoy reading it. I made 3 statements and made sure I added why and because.
I hope you like it and have a nice day. Bye!
I think… that dogs are way better than cats.
Because… Dogs can smell 4x more than humans. Also they can play with you when you're sad or alone. They can go to cuddle at night. When you are in the water you don't know how to swim. The dog can get you out of the water and you will be safe and safe. When you're walking by yourself you have no one to walk with and play fetch. Dogs are really good at running and playing fetch. They stay by your side
My evidence: Dogs will guard your home from burglars and strangers, but cats aren’t going to do this. They’re timid, prone to running off when someone strange comes in. Even the tiniest of dogs have heart, and their audible bark is enough to make some burglars go break into someone else’s home. Many dogs will even wake you up if there’s a fire, which is practically unthinkable for a cat to do. (Source Link)
I think… Lollies shouldn't be at school.
Because… They are not good for your teeth and your health. You can get a very bad stomach ache. They can get really bad and have to clean it up. They can also break your teeth if you eat too much. The teachers will tell your mum and dad that you ate candy and your stomach ache will go much worse. They could have gelatin in the candy.
My evidence: Most schools think it is OK to sell candy at school and put up vending machines full of candy, soda, chips and less healthy things. This clearly isn't good for children, as soda contains a lot of corn syrup, while chips contain a lot of cholesterol and fat. It’s OK to have those foods, but if you have them every day, then it will be bad for your brain and your body. Schools should put more healthy foods and drinks into their vending machines, such as milk, granola bars, fig newtons, peanuts and sunflower seeds to name a few.
In conclusion, schools shouldn't sell candy to the students. It can decrease academic performance a lot, it can cause hyperactivity, and it can do bad things to them. Instead, they should sell foods that are good for the brain, like fruits and vegetables. (Source Link)
I think… a 12 year old shouldn't get a driver's licence.
Because… They might not know what a button does. They could crash the car into another car and hurt other people . They could get lost when driving and their phone might have a low battery. They might not know how to fix things like repair the wheels or how much they cost.
My evidence: "Children shouldn't be taught to drive because they may injure themselves or other people if they crash. Some children might be scared if they lose control of a car." (Source Link)
